Mrs Gillian Davidoff

Firstly let me introduce myself, my name is Gillian Davidoff and I have been doing Guides on and off for about 16 years now.
I started Guiding back in my early 20’s in Woodford Bridge, Essex where I ran a unit for about 12 years, during this time we did many exciting activities.
After getting married and moving out to South Ockendon I didn’t return to Guiding until after my Daughter was born in 2006, where for a time I was helping run the 1st Aveley Guide Unit at All Saints Church.
I left here in 2009 due to work commitments but after my Daughter attended the Rainbow Activity Day last September, I decided I would like to return to Guiding in some way so firstly it was to help out at Brownies  and then a few weeks prior to Christmas I was asked if I would consider taking over the Guide Unit as both its current leaders were leaving due to personal circumstances, so here I am.
As with all new Guiders or those returning to guiding after sometime we need to work towards an NVQ in Leadership to become a Warranted Guider, I’m currently half way through my pack and so for the time being I will be having assistants from other leaders throughout Ockendon Guides and Scouts so from time to time there will be other leaders present out our meetings.
