Every Beaver is required to wear the correct uniform. This consists of a pair of navy blue Scout 'combat' trousers, a blue Beaver Scout polo shirt and a blue Beaver Scout jumper. Anyone who joins the Ockendon Beaver Scout pack is given a brand new green and black neckerchief with a woggle when they are invested (join the group). All Beavers also wear black shoes - trainers or school shoes and black socks.
The trousers, polo shirt and jumper can be bought from a number of outlets but if you buy it through the district Scout shop, then we, as a pack, get some of the money given back to us. It is run entirely by volunteers is open 10.00am - 12.30pm each Saturday morning.
The address for the Scout shop is:

All Beavers work on their activity and challenge badges which are then sewn onto their Beaver jumper - activity badges go on the left sleeve and challenge badges go on the right chest area. Beavers get the chance to earn many badges and each has its own place on the uniform.
Beaver Scout Badges
There are lots of badges you can earn while you are a Beaver Scout. This page lists all of the badges
This is the badge you receive when you are invested into the Beaver Colony and make your promise. It shows everybody that you are a member of the Scout Association.
Joining In Awards
You will receive a joining in award each year you are in the Beavers, Cubs or Scouts, so that everyone knows how long you have been a member of the Scout Group. When you receive a joning in award, don't forget to remove the previous one.
Moving On Award
This award is presented to a Beaver just as they are moving on to the Cub Pack to show they have learned what Cubs is all about. This will be the first badge you wear on your Cub uniform.
There are six challenge badges for you to try. You will usually earn these by attending every week at Beavers. If you get all six then you will receive the top award called the Chief Scout's Bronze Award.
Chief Scout's Bronze Award
The Chief Scout's Bronze Award is the highest award available in the Beaver Scout Section. It is gained by completing all six Challenges.
But that's not all! There are 18 Activity Badges that you can complete at any time while you are a Beaver Scout. It is up to you to decide which Activity Badges you want to try so if you want to earn these badges, you should speak to your leader about what you have to do.
These cover everything you could possibly be interested in, from Adventure to Science, Computers to Music. If you have a hobby, interest or favourite sport there is an Activity Badge that you can work hard for, gain and wear on your uniform with pride.
And some are staged so that you can earn higher levels as you improve. These badges are the same within Beavers, Cubs and Scouts.
There are also three partnership awards that are earned by Beavers, Cuibs and Scouts all working together. As these badges are for the whole Scout Group, your leader will tell you if you are working towards one of these.
